PCVdigital Limited (“PCVdigital”) provides our Business Customers with tools that permit them to analyse and predict risk in complying with anti-money laundering regulations. These tools are used to validate personal data that we access using third parties who themselves access information from public sources and other non-publicly-available sources.
We do not maintain these data sources ourselves. If you wish to gain access to the information on your personal data from these third parties, for example to correct inaccurate data or to object to use of personal data, then you should contact us at the address below:

The services that we provide are summarised below: 

Identity and Fraud Management
These services help our Customers to confirm your identity and to prevent and detect fraud and other potential offences.

Financial Crime and Legal Compliance
These services help our Customers to comply with regulations that require them to screen you and other clients to enable them to prevent and detect fraud, money laundering, bribery and corruption, and other potential offences.

Customer Data Management 
Through the provision of these services we assist our Customers with the ongoing maintenance of their relationship with you and their other clients.  

Who controls your personal data?
PCVdigital is a data controller and a data processor. We process the personal data that you provide to us.
PCVdigital’s Business Customers who use PCVdigital’s services are also data controllers. Their processing notices will tell you more about how they use personal data. PCVdigital’s Business Customers are responsible for how they use the results of a check performed using our Services – for example, whether our Business Customer decides that they are permitted to do business with a particular client is solely up to them. The personal data we provide to them is one factor they may consider in that assessment.
We use Third Parties to validate the data that Business Customers and end clients. Where we use Lexis Nexis as one of our Third Parties, they control the personal data that PCVdigital uses in providing Services to our Customers.  You can find our more about Lexis Nexis here:

Profiling and Decision making
Automated processing of personal data to evaluate certain personal aspects relating to an individual, particularly to analyse or predict aspects concerning that individual, is considered profiling under the applicable data protection laws. 
Profiling is not the same as automated decision-making and we don’t make any decisions about you, automated or not. PCVdigital’s Customers may use this information to assist them to check the identities of people, to assist them in complying with regulations such as anti-money laundering (AML), anti-bribery and corruption, or other legal requirements; to help them to prevent fraud. 

Using personal data for our and our Customers’ legitimate interests
Where we use personal data for a business or other interest, data protection law says that we have to make sure this interest is legitimate and we must make sure we can justify any impact on individuals.
PCVdigital uses the services of Lexis Nexis to provide some of the information our Customers require. Lexis Nexis regularly updates its databases to ensure they are accurate; they test their statistical models to check for errors or inaccuracy. They supply PCVdigital with this information under a contractual agreement, and PCVdigital in turn supplies that information under a contractual agreement with the PCVdigital Customer.
