Data Privacy Principles

PCVdigital Limited (“PCVdigital” )provides information and analytic services (“Services”) to business customers (“Customers”).
The Data Privacy Principles refer to the personally identifiable information, including sensitive personally identifiable information, collected, maintained, used or disseminated in connection with our Services. 

How we define privacy

PCVdigital is committed to the responsible use of information and protecting individual privacy rights. Our Services aim to assist Customers in reducing fraud, mitigating risk, and facilitating more informed decisions, in ways that protect individuals’ privacy.
PCVdigital uses third party service providers who deliver high quality information and who are committed to protect individuals’ privacy. We aim to promote transparency through our privacy principles and policies, and to assist with opportunities for access and correction with respect to personal information about individuals.
These third parties are controllers of data on individuals. PCVdigital is  also a controller and processor of this data and other data that our Customers supply. Our Customer is also a controller and processor of data.

Data Privacy Principles

PCVdigital applies these 12 Principles to our Services. From time to time PCVdigital may revise these Data Privacy Principles by posting changes on its Web site.

1.  Security
Data security is a company imperative. PCVdigital strives to protect personally identifiable information that we hold or disseminate, including through the use of appropriate administrative, physical, and technical safeguards.

2.  Distribution of personally identifiable information
PCVdigital strives to provide additional safeguards for sensitive personally identifiable information, and works through its third party data providers to ensure appropriate standards are in force when using the PCVdigital platform.

3.  Accuracy
PCVdigital cannot be responsible for the accuracy of the information that is available through the PCVdigital platform, where that information has come from third party providers. PCVdigital assesses third parties and strives to ensure that it works with the highest quality information providers. PCVdigital recognizes, however, that reporting errors may occur and PCVdigital offers individuals opportunities, where applicable, to dispute and correct information that is available on our platform by providing individuals the opportunity to connect to the data source provider. See Principle 8 (Access and Correction).

4.  Protection of information supplied by Customers and End Customers of Customers
We make every effort to ensure that the data that we receive from Customers and End Customers is held securely and is only used for the purpose of Anti Money Laundering and Know Your Customer verification. We do not compile any information as marketing lists and we do not share the information we hold with anyone else.

5.  Education
PCVdigital strives to inform its employees and any user of the PCVdigital platform about appropriate use of PCVdigital Services. This includes:
 - Privacy and security issues associated with PCVdigital information products and services;
 - The responsible use of personally identifiable information;
 - Choices available to individuals regarding information access that we obtain through third parties and how to contact those third parties.

6.  Reputable sources
PCVdigital selects third party service providers who themselves strive to acquire personally identifiable information from established, reputable sources in the government and private sectors, and who take reasonable steps to assess the reputation and reliability of private sector data sources before incorporating personally identifiable information from the source into their products and services, and who have assurance from their data suppliers that they have the legal right to license or sell the data to that third party.

8.  Access and correction
PCVdigital strives to provide individuals with a contact regarding their questions about our use of personally identifiable information PCVdigital does not originate this information. PCVdigital undertakes to assist an individual to connect to the third party service provider from whom the information was obtained so that the individual has a meaningful opportunity to review and as necessary correct personally identifiable information that the third party maintains about them.

9.  Accountability
PCVdigital supports accountability of information industry standards and practices, and legislation governing the practices of all data providers.

10.  Online privacy
PCVdigital strives to protect the privacy of personally identifiable information obtained over the Internet and strives to apply our Data Privacy Principles and evolving standards to the online environment.

11.  Identity theft
PCVdigital strives to prevent the acquisition of information through the PCVdigital platform for improper purposes, such as identity theft. 
PCVdigital follows its
Data Breach Notification Policy, which provides that affected individuals will be notified when sensitive personally identifiable information that is stored on our platform is acquired by an unauthorized individual and whenever PCVdigital has a reasonable basis to believe the breach has resulted in, or there is a significant risk that it will result in, identity theft to the consumer to whom the information relates.

12.  Compliance
PCVdigital will process consumer personal information in accordance with all applicable privacy and data protection laws and regulations.
